Is this true? I've never seen my two overload enchantments stack like that before. I always wanted to know if this was possible, but since it never triggered at the same time I've always kept 2 different types of overloads. Two of the same kind will give you 100% uptime of the single enchant bonus. Two different type enchants will give you 50% uptime of the combined stat bonus of both enchants. I use two Greater Black Dragon enchants.
'As the good archmage often admonishes me, I ought not to let my mind wander, as it's too small to go off by itself.' -Danilo Thann[/quote]- Posts: 3,350Member, NW M9 PlaytestArc UserThey do stack... I have been using two of the same overload.. black ice for a long timeI hate paying taxes! Why must I pay thousands of dollars in taxes when everything I buy is taxed anyways!
- I did not claim that the buffs stack by wearing two of the same. What they do...do is proc one right after the other. So in the case of the Greater Black Dragon, if you want 800 crit virtually 100% of the time, you wear two. If you want the 1600 stats for 50% of the time, wear two different enchants, as they will proc at virtually the same time. To each their own. Again, I wear two Greater Black Dragons so that I have the bonus from ONE of the two up all the time. I am not the only player that does this. Read Sharpedge's CW guide. This is not new, but maybe forgotten by those players that havent tested it.
- Wait so what exactly happens if I use a Greater Black Ice Restoration Overload enchantment and combine it with a lesser Black Ice Restoration overload enchantment, do both enchanments trigger together all the time and I get 800 + 300 life steal at one time or do they trigger seperately?
I am pretty sure if I use both Greater Black Ice Restoration overload enchantment I will not get the 1600 life steal, I tested it out a few times, so please clarify, thanks!
I've used two Greater Corrupt Lethal for a long time, and most of the players on Xbox at least, use two of the same Overloads.I did not claim that the buffs stack by wearing two of the same. What they do...do is proc one right after the other. So in the case of the Greater Black Dragon, if you want 800 crit virtually 100% of the time, you wear two. Not sure if it always has worked like this, but as long as I can remember it has been that way.

Neverwinter Overload Slot
Companion overload slots are mostly designed to take the guild companion slayer/ward enchants. I would only expect standard overload enchants to apply to the companion's attacks. The enchants would be bound to you and you could unslot and use them on yourself if it didn't work out. Exclusion of Liability: To the fullest extent overload slot neverwinter allowed by law, Edison shall not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits, damages, costs or expenses incurred or suffered by you arising out or in connection with the access to, use of or reliance on any information contained on this note.
- Posts: 2,966Member, NW M9 PlaytestArc UserIf you use greater BI, they last 8 hours game time which is several days and sometimes a week for me. As a DC, Greater Corrupt Black Ice overloads are a calculated part of my AP gain and I would not run without them. 20% AP gain(1.25 % per sec for 8 secs on each) over 8 secs is worth it alone, add the 800 power and Crit or 1600 power and it really is justified. For some characters running 2 purified, 11000 Temp hits points every 8 secs or so can be useful. The fact that I can craft them for free basically (BI crafting or slight cost in Campaign window), and a tier 3 results doubles the number (I have a forgehammer) makes them a very good value and easy to maintain a supply.
There are a couple of the Dragon glyphs I will use if I have them as I find the Greaters useful, but the lessers of limited value. But since I always seem to gather several during seige events, I still use the lessers at times, usually on alts for a small bonus.
That said, these are the only ones I really use. The rest I find not really worth the effort, except maybe Dragon ones during DF. If I have one I'll use it to free the inv space, but do not seek to get more. - Do overload procs from pet get transferred through bondings? I have 2 +5 rings from IG and a couple of frosted glyphs. Wondering if it could be situationally useful...
- thegravelnomePosts: 270MemberArc UserDoes anybody know if it's worth it to use overloads on your companion gear? you can bankrupt yourself trying to maintain a full set between your own slots and 3 in a companion.
- I used to use Giant in FBI and Elemental through Kabal in Mspc. We havent found a good one for tong.
I dont bother with them on my companionFounding Member of 'Wrong Side of the Stronghold'

They can increase your damage in and decrease the damage you receive. FBI -giants for instance as Raven pointed out.
If you are planning specific dungeon runs get the Overload from your guild and content becomes a bit easier and runs are a bit faster.
Overloads do have a place but are not as valuable as a regular enchantments.
If you want an hour to last for hours than as @zephyriah stated, use the black ice overloads as they can last up to 8 hours of combat.0 - I never leave home without them, I keep most of the guild overloads in my inventory and switch them based on my situation. I like the frosted smiting glyphs too for a little extra dps but they cost too much campaign currency and I stopped running Somi after i got my weapons. I agree the corrupt black ice is pretty good but the are quite expensive on the AH last I looked. To me every little bit helps but I understand a lot of people don't use them just like potions
